The above expression of shock, anguish, internal turmoil, vertigo or whatever term one may give, sits very nicely on a man of the 20th Century.
However, when faced with the reality of his wife earning more than him, a confident man of the 21st Century says, “Hey wow! That’s great! It calls for a celebration!”
Please realize the emphasis is on the word “confident”. This man is sure of his own abilities and loves his wife unconditionally. He takes a great deal of pride in his wife’s achievements and is not afraid to declare to the society in general that yes, it is his wife who wears the pants in their house!
In today’s materialistic world, where egos are very fragile. Where, the ‘I’ dominates over ‘WE’. Where society by and large is paternal, where thoughts are feudal, where your stature is determined by the ‘take home pay’! Where the male is regarded as privileged and the female as subservient, it is this self-assured man who stands behind his successful wife like a rock.
No, he is not doing her a favour nor is he being condescending. He is just being matter of fact! Through his journey of life, he has realized that whatever one may say, the female is superior to the male. He strongly believes that the ability to multi-task, the ability to balance home and office and above all the natural process of motherhood makes every woman superior to man.
So with this fact strongly embedded in his DNA, he efficiently takes on the role as a manager having no qualms in taking orders from his CEO! In office, just as a manager may have a different opinion on how to complete a project / task, from his CEO, so also difference of opinion may arise on home turf. But everyone knows there is only one winner, the CEO!
So why not enjoy what life throws at you by following the idiom ‘the Boss is always right!’ This not only eliminates the stress and strife in fact it makes life so beautiful and enjoyable. It gives you the option of smelling the coffee every morning.
To stop you from smelling the coffee, you will meet many a feudal lord who are of the opinion that women are inherently weaker than men, they are born to be insubordinate and that this is the law of nature and that men should always remain the boss of the house………
TO THEM I HAVE THIS TO SAY “CONFIDENCE IS SILENT, INSECURITIES ARE LOUD”
